Our busy weekend

I have a day off work today so I thought I would try and get this blog up and running. I'm not very good at this stuff at all.

We had a very busy Saturday but unfortunately I forgot to take my camera with me so I have no pictures. At least not until Crystal posts her and then I will "borrow" hers. Chandler had a basketball game Saturday morning at the YMCA that we went to and then later that day we went to Tallahassee to see Carson perform with her cheerleading group at an FSU men's basketball game. She belongs to a group called the Tallahassee Super Squad and loves it. They were so adorable, I can't wait to see Crystal's pictures but she's having computer problems right now and can't upload them.

Dallas and I had not been to the civic center in years so it was fun to be back in there. We used to work one of the food concessions there when Matt and Crystal were both in the Lincoln High School NJROTC. We would then get to attend whatever event was going on at the time for free which was lots of fun. We saw lots of hockey games, basketball games and great concerts. Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, etc. The only one I ever walked out on was Adam Sandler, he was extremely vulgar and my friend and I walked out and left.

Later on Saturday we celebrated Roy's birthday at Crystal and Roy's house. We had wonderful barbecue sandwiches, chips, homemade brownies and homemade carrot cake. It was a wonderful time but again, I forgot my camera so no pictures. Matt had the boys this past weekend so they were there with us. It was loads of fun but it always is when the entire family is together. We were afraid that Erin and Lee wouldn't make it because Mason and Stephen had been sick the day before but fortunately they recovered in time. Yay! Papa and Nana love it when all the grandbabies are together, it's so much fun.

Yesterday was church as usual and then a quiet afternoon at home for Dallas and I. Since we had done our weekly family dinner on Saturday night the kids and grandkids didn't come up yesterday as they normally do on Sunday afternoons. We just relaxed and napped which we probably needed after our busy day on Saturday.

I'm trying to catch up with the times and start blogging. I don't know how good I will be at it but here goes.
